Welcome to another Sunday with yours truly and thanks so much for letting me be a small part of your day. :~) If you're new today, a warm welcome to you. I hope you'll enjoy the issue. This past Tuesday was my birthday and my son's birthday. My daughter took us out to dinner at the restaurant where she works. I knew she wouldn't let us get away without embarrassing us somehow, though. First she decorated the table and tied balloons to our chairs. Then she gave me a card that caused other restaurant customers to turn their heads. The picture on the front is a woman mopping sweat off her forehead. Inside it says "Welcome to the hot flash years" and it plays music - "Disco Inferno" - to be exact. LOL And, of course, when we ordered dessert every server who was working came out singing and clapping. My son tried to play it off like it was only MY birthday, not his, by clapping along with them and pointing to me. He was as embarrassed as I was, but he doesn't turn red in the face like I do. LOL Oh, well, it only happens once a year. All I can say is thank goodness it was a Tuesday and the place wasn't really packed with people like it would have been on the weekend. She looks at the seats in coach and then looks ahead to the first class seats. Seeing that the first class seats appear to be much larger and more comfortable, she moves forward to the last empty one. The flight attendant checks her ticket and tells the woman that her seat is in coach. The blonde replies, "I'm young, blonde and beautiful, and I'm going to sit here all the way to LA." Flustered, the flight attendant goes to the cockpit and informs the captain of the blonde problem. The captain goes back and tells the woman that her assigned seat is in coach. Again, the blonde replies, "I'm young, blonde and beautiful, and I'm going to sit here all the way to LA." The captain doesn't want to cause a commotion, and so returns to the cockpit to discuss the blonde with the co-pilot. The co-pilot says that he has a blonde girlfriend, and that he can take care of the problem. He then goes back and briefly whispers something into the blonde's ear. She immediately gets up, says, "Thank you so much," hugs the co-pilot, and rushes back to her seat in the coach section. The pilot and flight attendant, who were watching with rapt attention, together ask the co-pilot what he had said to the woman.
