My 2 Cents Worth - Editor's Chit-Chat
Hi All! Welcome to another Sunday with yours truly and thanks so much for letting me be a small part of your day. :~) If you're new today, a warm welcome to you. I hope you'll enjoy the issue. I hope you're having a fantastic weekend. My daughter flew in from New York on Friday and we went to my cousin's daughter's wedding reception yesterday. Today we had planned a BBQ but it's chilly and raining, so I guess we'll do something else instead. We had a nice time at the wedding reception. It was a chance for me to dress up for a change. I love working from home where I can wear blue jeans all the time, but it's nice to have a chance to get dressed up once in awhile, too. LOL And it was great seeing my cousins, too, because I don't see them very often. We're planning a big get-together this summer, though, because for several years we only saw each other at funerals, which was no fun. The last few years we've seen each other at graduations and weddings, which is better, but it's difficult when there are so many other guests to entertain, too. All of my kids are supposed to be here for that, but now it looks like my oldest son probably won't be able to make it. He decided to make a career change and he should be starting his new job as a police officer around the beginning of July, so it's doubtful he can take a week off later that month. :( I'm happy that he got the job he wanted, but I want to see him, my daughter-in-law and my two granddaughters. Tonight is the two hour episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition where my son-in-law was one of the volunteers who worked on the house. My daughter and I plan to be firmly planted in front of the TV from 7 til 9 PM. (If you're not familiar with the TV show, it's where a crew of volunteers completely rebuilds the house of a family in need, from the ground up in 7 days.) Check it out if you get the chance. Advertise Your Business To gain exposure/brand recognition, gain immediate sales, announce new products/services and search engine optimization are just a few of the reasons why you need to advertise. Very few businesses can survive without some type of advertising. It's also one of the most important aspects in running certain types of businesses. Unfortunately, it seems to be one of the biggest steps missed and/or done incorrectly. Take the time to learn more about online advertising, sales copy writing and don't skip this important step! 5. Online Promotion There are many, many other ways to promote your business online (in addition to traditional advertising). Ebook writing, mini courses and article writing are just a few tactics. He sent a message for an IRS agent and his lawyer to come to the hospital. When they arrived, they were ushered up to his room. As they entered the room, the pastor held out his hands and motioned for them to sit on each side of the bed. The pastor grasped their hands, sighed contentedly, smiled, and stared at the ceiling. For a time, no one said anything. Both the IRS agent and lawyer were touched and flattered that the old man would ask them to be with him during his final moments. They were also puzzled because the pastor had never given any indication that he particularly liked either one of them. Finally, the Lawyer asked, "Pastor, why did you ask the two of us to come here?" The old pastor mustered all his strength, then said weakly, "Jesus died between two thieves, and that's how I want to go."
