Welcome to another Sunday with yours truly and thanks so much for letting me be a small part of your day. :~) If you're new today, a warm welcome to you. I hope you'll enjoy the issue. I guess it's "that time of the year" ... the time when all the outdoor critters and bugs try to come indoors, or at least find a warmer place to hang out during the cold weather. Such has been the case here at my house recently. A couple of months ago I told you I had seen some rodents hanging around under my deck and then I found a stray cat who "took care" of them for me. :) Too bad she can't get rid of a skunk and opossum, too, because they've been plagueing me now. LOL Last week I heard a rustling noise coming from under the deck, and at first I thought it might have been my little stray cat or one of the neighbor's cats. Then it came out and I got a look at it... black with a white stripe... it was sitting on the deck looking at me... and it definitely was not a cat! Luckily I was inside the house or I would have really freaked out. LOL I didn't see or hear the critter again for a whole week, but my neighbor told me he saw him in his yard a couple of times. I told him to keep him there, cuz I don't want him. :) Then a few days ago I heard the rustling sound again, and within minutes he came out from under the deck. So I called my neighbor and he came over with his .22 rifle aimed and ready to fire. He stalked that skunk around my yard, kinda looking like Elmer Fudd, for about half an hour, but the darn thing stayed right up against the house and he couldn't get a clean shot. I didn't see it or hear it for a day or two, then last night, there it was again... rustling around under the deck. I tried to call my neighbor as soon as I saw it come out, but to my dismay, the neighbor wasn't home. I watched it go around the back of my garage, and then about 15 minutes later, I noticed one of my cats watching something out the sliding glass door that leads to the deck. It took me a minute to locate what she was staring at because it was almost completely dark outside... and this time it wasn't a skunk... it was an opossum. I've never seen one before, just in pictures, but it looked like a giant light grey colored rat! Then suddenly I saw the skunk, too, around the corner of the deck from where the 'possum was, and it was heading towards the 'possum. The 'possum caught sight of it and ran under the deck, but I couldn't see where the skunk went because it was too dark outside. Eeeeeeeek! I hate critters! I guess I'll have to call someone to come and set some traps... or hope the neighbor is home next time I see them and he can get a good shot. LOL Ok, enough creepy critter stories. :) It's time to let you get on with the rest of the issue. Oh, before I forget, SevenBucks.com, owned and operated by my friends Doug and Teri Champigny, will be closing its doors soon. A majority of people don't have money to spend on very much besides the bare necessities. As a result, they're looking for ways to earn extra money to keep themselves afloat. More and more people are turning to the Internet every day in hopes of making that extra cash, but for new marketers, and especially those who are desperate for financial relief now, the money might not come fast enough. Learning to market online involves a learning curve that causes most people to spend a year or more testing the waters before seeing any significant money for their efforts. But many successful marketers have become successful just by "thinking outside the box." They did something different from what everyone else was doing and it was well-received by their target market and very profitable. Such is the case with a young man I spoke to on the phone the other day. He wasn't really even known in the Internet Marketing arena until now, yet he just launched a product that's been very profitable - to the tune of 1,000+ sales and more than $57,000 gross profit at the time of this writing! This guy didn't jump online and try to make money the same way everyone else does by selling information products or even physical products. He actually builds websites that are highly ranked in the search engines for his local offline business owners. But then one day he set his mind to "think outside the box mode" and created a whole new type of product - a unique way to market his websites so he can make more sales. And instead of selling "the same old stuff" as other people (a.k.a. an ebook explaining how to do what he does), he produced a marketing kit for Internet Marketers to sell his websites to offline businesses. If you think about it, this concept is similar to some large offline corporations and it works well. For instance, I can think of several companies right off the top of my head that provide their representatives with postcards, party invitations, business cards, and product samples. All the representatives have to do is hand out or mail their marketing materials and they get sales. By thinking outside the box, this relatively unknown marketer created something other Internet Marketers hadn't seen before and it's been a huge success! But, as you can see by the similarity to some offline companies, he didn't completely reinvent the wheel. He just tweaked it a little and adapted it to Internet Marketers, and had a whole new target market to sell to. Of course, he'll reach his goal of selling more of his top ranked websites to offline businesses, too... all because of his ability to "think outside the box." And in my opinion, his product couldn't have come at a better time for those in need extra income in this tough economy. The marketing kit doesn't require any computer skills, marketing experience, or that infamous Internet Marketing learning curve either. You can pick up a free report below for more details on the marketing kit, but don't miss this lesson - thinking outside the box may be your ticket to success. ----------------------------------------------------------- About the Author: Denise Hall has been marketing online since 2002 and is now also working with local offline businesses to ensure they get their businesses online, where customers are searching for them. Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95. I told her the beer would make her look better than the cold cream at night . . . . and that's how the fight started. ********************************************* After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later. The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt.' So I opened my shirt, revealing my curly silver hair. She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me,' and she processed my Social Security application. When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office. She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too . . . . and that's how the fight started. ********************************************* My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high-school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asked, 'Do you know her?' 'Yes,' I sighed, 'She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since.' 'My God!' says my wife, 'Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?' . . . . and that's how the fight started. ********************************************* I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first. 'I'll have the strip steak, medium rare, please.' He said, 'Aren't you worried about the mad cow?' 'Nah, she can order for herself' . . . . and that's how the fight started. Middle Sponsor Ad Need to lose weight? Try our product! Request your free sample today. Great business opportunity, too! Helping Your Business Grow Through Blogs Blogging is one of the most popular things to do on the Internet these days. It can serve as an emotional outlet for some people by writing about their feelings; it can serve as a website that can let people tell their original short fiction or non-fiction stories; and it can also serve as a website for advertising. As a business owner, you will definitely want to use blogging as a marketing tool. In fact, you will see that a lot of businesses today are using blogs as an advertising tool and it helps rake in the profits and attract more people to buy from them. Whatever products you are selling, find innovative ways to write about them on your blog. Whether you are a car salesman, an insurance salesman, or an affiliate marketer, you will be able to bring out the best of your products through blogs. Basically, the key to marketing with blogs is to pre-sell the product you are trying to sell. By doing so, you will be able to achieve success and make your business more well-known. So how can you pre-sell your products through blogs? Simple... All you need to do is make a blog about the product that is informative, easy to read, and entertaining. Also, the technique used by most successful marketers in writing blogs is that they never aggressively sell the product by telling the customer that they should buy this or that. A successful blog should get your potential customers to think they need to buy the product because they want it, not because you told them to. So how can you do this? As mentioned before, never aggressively sell the product in your blog. Instead, try telling a story about the product as if you are the customer... First, tell them a little something about the product, then tell them what it did for you and what benefits you got. Lastly, tell them that you are genuinely crazy about the product and that you always buy it. If you believe in your product, then this should be easy to do. Put yourself in your reader's shoes. You should never be a salesman, but rather a regular person just like them who loves to use the product and is recommending it for everyone to use. And the best part about this is that you don't really have to work hard to market your product. When someone reads your blog, and if they like what they read, they will not only purchase the product you are selling but will advertise for you for free. Always remember that recommendations by fellow customers are the best type of advertising that you can get. Just remember to update your blog at least once a week. This way, people will have something more to read and you'll really gather a lot of loyal readers and customers.
